Transportation

San Francisco Bay Area offers some of the best public transportation!  With that we highly recommend not having a car unless you are planning on driving to San Francisco.

Getting to the hotel from SFO airport
The SFO airport has a BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) station located next to the International Terminal.  Look for signs that say BART to get to the station, there is AirTrain running around SFO that will also take you to the BART station.  From the BART station in the airport you board any San Francisco bound (Pittsburg/Bay Point) train will take you to downtown San Francisco, the current fare is $8.10.  Trains arrive at the SFO International Terminal every 15 minutes and it's just 30 minutes to downtown San Francisco.  The stop for the hotel is the Powell Street station.

Powell Street Station (BART or MUNI)

The Powell Street Station is the busiest transit location in the San Francisco Bay Area with easy walking distance (1/2 a block) to the host hotel and connections to all over the Bay Area.  To get to the host hotel from the Powell Street Station, look for signs directing you to the 4th street exit.  From there walk down 4th street 1/2 a block and you will arrive at the host hotel, the Marriott Marquis.  Traveling around the city from the Powell Street Station, there is no where within San Francisco you cannot get to directly or with one transfer.

MUNI (San Francisco Municipal Railway)
